Our Partner
Mobile Traffic Data, based in Poznań and the creator of the Mobilet app, is one of the leading providers of mobile payment services in Poland.
The company designs and develops solutions enabling users to purchase public transport and rail tickets as well as pay for parking via smartphone, eliminating the need for ticket machines or cash desks. Its solutions are available in hundreds of Polish cities, making it one of the most widely used tools in the smart mobility and cashless category.

Objectives and Challenges
Mobilet operates in a highly demanding environment and must ensure 24/7 availability. Any downtime to the app’s service directly prevents passengers and drivers from buying public transport tickets or paying for parking. The company also works with various systems – banks, transport operators, cities – each imposing strict SLA requirements. Therefore, increasing IT infrastructure reliability and resilience was essential.
Mobilet needed a solution that would:
• Increase fault tolerance and ensure service continuity.
• Minimise downtime risk during critical moments.
• Allow focus on product development and functionality rather than IT infrastructure management.

Joint Action
Mobilet optimised and secured its IT environment. A key element was the implementation of a solution that ensures high availability and data protection, and supports replication and automatic failover.
Due to strict SLA requirements and multiple partners (banks and municipalities), infrastructure had to be adapted accordingly, ensuring seamless data synchronisation between locations.
To validate effectiveness of the solution, the environment was tested across 54 potential failure scenarios. Each test was successful, confirming the infrastructure’s readiness to operate under critical conditions.

Implementation
To ensure full continuity, the MetroCluster solution was implemented, enabling simultaneous data writing in two geographically separated data centres. In case of failure, the secondary centre automatically takes over all traffic without affecting users. All critical data is stored redundantly in both locations, eliminating risk of loss.
The project also included a comprehensive environment delivered by T-Mobile Poland: Virtual Data Centre (IaaS), Anti-DDoS protection, Backup, WAF, and 5G connectivity. This forms a redundant, secure platform ensuring high availability and resilience to failures.
